The Lagos High School Volleyball Tournament has the potential to produce Nigeria’s next generation of sports stars, according to Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking at the tournament finals over the weekend, Adeboye expressed his confidence that with proper support and nurturing, young talents discovered through this platform will rise to represent Nigeria on the international stage.
As the Special Guest of Honour, Adeboye praised the initiative, emphasizing the critical role of grassroots sports in shaping future champions.
He assured stakeholders that with the Federal Government’s backing, the competition will continue to serve as a springboard for emerging athletes, providing them with the opportunities and resources needed to excel in their careers.
