NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko Joins VP Shettima At Nigeria Police CARSPO 2025 Conference In Ogun

National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman, Shehu Dikko, joined Vice President Kashim Shettima in Ogun State for the 5th Edition of the Nigeria Police Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers, “CARSPO 2025.”

Dikko was at the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Iperu-Ilishan alongside Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun to welcome the Vice President upon his arrival. From there, they proceeded to Abeokuta, where the high-profile conference is being held.

The event, themed “Improving Nigeria’s Internal Security and Economic Prosperity Through Inclusive Policing,” focuses on strengthening internal security and fostering collaboration between law enforcement and key stakeholders.

Speaking at the conference, Dikko emphasized the crucial role of sports in crime prevention and youth engagement. He highlighted how sports can complement policing efforts by providing positive outlets for young people, reducing crime rates, and fostering national unity.

Dikko’s presence at the event underscores the government’s recognition of sports as a tool for social cohesion and security. His discussions with senior police officers and policymakers focused on integrating sports-driven initiatives into community policing strategies to enhance economic development and public safety across Nigeria.
