Ogun State Sports Council Unveils Schedule For February Trial Games Ahead Of 22nd National Sports Festival

The Ogun State Sports Council has announced the schedule for its upcoming trial games, set to take place in February, as part of preparations for the 22nd National Sports Festival scheduled for May 2025.

The trial games will feature Athletics (Deaf), Athletics (Para), Ayo, Boxing, and Chess. Acting Director of Sports at the State Sports Council, Mr. Oluseyi Sonde, made this known in a statement released by the council’s spokesperson, Bola Giwa.

According to the schedule, the competitions will officially begin on Friday, February 21, and continue on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Boxing matches will be held at Ilishan Town Hall, while Sagamu International Stadium will host all other events, including Athletics (Deaf), Athletics (Para), Ayo, and Chess.

These trial games provide a platform for athletes to showcase their skills and earn selection for major national and international competitions, with a particular focus on the Gateway Sports Festival. The Ogun State Sports Council urges all participants to comply with the event guidelines and prepare for an exciting and competitive tournament.
