NAFED Sets March 10 for AGM in Abuja, Announces Archery Championship Dates

The Nigeria Archery Federation (NAFED) has scheduled its 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) for March 10 at the Secretariat of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) in Abuja.

This decision followed an emergency online Executive Committee meeting on February 7, where NAFED President, Alhaji Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, conveyed the World Archery Federation’s (WAF) vote of confidence in the NAFED Executive Committee ahead of the AGM.

Additionally, the committee approved March 9-10 for an archery championship at Package ‘B’ of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, marking the start of NAFED’s activities for 2025. The board also ratified the appointment of distinguished personalities as patrons of the federation.

Discussions were also held regarding a suitable date for the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Archery Championship, which is expected to take place within the first quarter of the year.

President Abdullahi urged members to actively support initiatives aimed at advancing archery in Nigeria.
