In a powerful display of generosity and commitment to healthcare, Dr. Dayo Israel, Chairman of the Governing Board of FMC Abeokuta, and billionaire philanthropist Ola Ayilara, CEO of LANDWEY Investment, have stepped in to save the life of a 14-year-old girl in need of urgent open-heart surgery.

During a visit to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Abeokuta, Mr. Ayilara immediately donated N8 million to cover the full cost of the surgery, ensuring the young girl gets the life-saving operation she desperately needs.
Coincidentally, on the same day, the girl suffered a seizure, but thanks to the swift intervention of FMC Abeokuta’s medical team, she was revived and is now being scheduled for surgery. Dr. Israel expressed deep gratitude to Mr. Ayilara for his generosity and quick response, emphasizing the life-changing impact of such timely interventions.
“This is the impact we strive for—connecting people who can help with those who need it most,” said Dr. Israel.
Beyond the medical support, Mr. Ayilara also committed to adopting and renovating a building within FMC Abeokuta, ensuring long-term improvements in infrastructure through his company, LANDWEY Investment.
This pledge aligns with Dr. Israel’s vision of transforming FMC Abeokuta into a world-class healthcare facility through strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement.
“For me, this is a season of #FMCARising,” Dr. Israel stated. “This is a call to action for everyone—corporate leaders, philanthropists, and individuals—to join us in making a difference.”
This inspiring collaboration between Dr. Dayo Israel and Ola Ayilara highlights the power of compassion, leadership, and community-driven impact. As FMC Abeokuta continues to rise, it invites more partners to step forward and be part of the transformation.
