Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Melvin Amaju Pinnick has declared that the nation’s soccer body has taken every necessary step that needs to be taken to ensure the Super Eagles qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s third match in the AFCON 2019 qualifiers, Pinnick said in a chat with sports247.ng that the NFF is working hard and all Nigerians should support them with prayers for their efforts not to be in vain.
Pinnick further noted that the Eagles also needed prayers and support from the fans, as he reckons victory against Libya this weekend would be a big step towards achieving the target of qualifying for Cameroon 2019.
He retorted: “All we need now is the support and prayers of Nigerians for the team, as everything is been done to qualify to next year’s AFCON.
“I don’t want Nigerians to harbor any fear of a possible shock upset from the Libyans, but we must not underrate them in any way at all.”
