In a thrilling conclusion to the group stages, Ughelli Allstars, led by Chief Friday Movie, defeated Daudu United 3-0 to secure a spot in the grand final against Corner-Lux. Corner-Lux demolished Men2Boys Fitness Club 7-1 to book their place in the final.
Ughelli Allstars’ journey to the final was remarkable. Despite registering just hours before the tournament kickoff, they defeated Housing Complex Allstars 4-1 without substitutions, drew 1-1 with Delta Allstars International, and stunned Corner-Lux Allstars 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals.

Corner-Lux began their campaign with a 2-1 victory over Housing Complex, defeated Delta Allstars International 3-1, and lost to Ughelli Allstars 1-2, accumulating 6 points to qualify for the semi-finals.
Ambassador Sheriff Mulade, the sole sponsor of the Africa4Peace Allstars 5-Aside tournament, expressed his gratitude to all participating teams, stating, “It’s beautiful to see everybody happy after some protests and arguments. I’m happy when the people are happy.”
Comrade Ogo Clarkson, Secretary of the Delta State Mini Football Association and Local Organizing Committee Chairman, emphasized the unique appeal of football, saying, “Football is a beautiful game with emotional intelligence that brings people together, allowing them to forget their struggles in life for a duration of time. We promise to improve on the next edition.”
The participating teams in the maiden edition included Men2Boys fitness club, Chevron Warri Football Club, Ex-Players International, Daudu United, Corner-Lux, Ughelli Allstars, Delta Allstars International, and Housing Complex Allstars.
The facilities of the Africa Games Village will be launched and inspected by the Mini Football Federation and major stakeholders in the sports industry, commencing at 12 noon.
The 3rd and 4th place match between Men2Boys and Daudu United will kickoff at 3:00 pm, followed by the grand final between Ughelli Allstars and Corner-Lux, scheduled for Friday, February 14th (Valentine’s Day) at the Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, Ugolo-Osubi, in Delta State.
