D’Tigers Begin Camp For 2025 FIBA Afrobasket Qualifiers, Set For Tripoli

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced that the D’Tigers will commence preparations for the 3rd window of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Tripoli, Libya, from February 17 to 24, 2025.

The training camp will be held in two phases. The first phase, dedicated to home-based players, will take place at Bentley Hotel, Abuja, from February 10 to 16. The selected players will then be joined by their foreign-based counterparts in Tripoli, Libya, on February 17 for the final phase and the tournament.

Head Coach Abdulrahman Mohammed, who successfully led the team in the first qualification window, will once again take charge. He will be assisted by former Nigerian international Deji Akindele and Isikaku Ikenna Smart, an assistant coach with the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA).

D’Tigers 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers Camp Details:

Phase 1 (Domestic Camp): February 10 – 16, Abuja, Nigeria

Phase 2 (Final Camp & Tournament): February 17 – 24, Tripoli, Libya
