Naija Ratels of Abuja star, Ajubiga Chikodi Kelechi has sent out warning bells to other teams in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), as she says she and her teammates are aiming for the continental ticket this season.
Ajubiga told sports247.ng after helping Naija Ratels pull off a sensational 2-2 draw away to FC Robo Queens of Lagos that she and her colleagues are all working hard to pull off more shocks in the ongoing NWFL campaign.
She disclosed further, “It was our zeal to come to win in Lagos, and we really worked for it. We already worked hard in training and everything we did before coming for this match.”
The fast-talking dazzler declared further that she and her colleagues will use this week’s result in Lagos as a huge morale booster for their next fixture, which is at home against Delta Queens of Asaba, and ensure that they keep on winning all their fixtures in order to pick the CAF ticket.
“Though we could not win, as the draw came, we really appreciate God for it. So, after picking this point here, we’ll return home to host Delta Queens. We believe, by the grace of God, we’re going to win. Our motivation this season is that we did not come just to participate. We’ve come to win all our matches and carry the trophy, then go for CAF. That’s our target for this 2025 season.”
She concluded with a bold declaration of her individual aspirations for the ongoing NWFL campaign, adding:
“My personal target is that I want to win the league, and I want to make my team proud. Other teams should be prepared o, because we are already out for them and we are really working hard,” Ajubiga affirmed.
