The comprehensive overhaul of this multi-purpose sports complex is set to be finalized within a 12-month period. Project Manager, Arc. John Ewule, confirmed that two outdoor pitches are expected to be ready by May 2025. The renovation is being executed by Maxwell International Ventures Limited.
At the site, heavy machinery—including cranes, bulldozers, cement mixers, drilling rigs, and hauling trucks—has been deployed to ensure rapid progress.
“This is a complete transformation of the stadium,” Arc. Ewule stated during a media briefing. “The upgrades include a cutting-edge scoreboard, an ultra-modern VIP section, improved field lighting, enhanced seating, and new concession stands.”
He emphasized that this ambitious project aligns with Governor Ademola Adeleke’s vision for sports development, talent discovery, and economic expansion in Osun State. Beyond serving as a premier sporting hub, the facility will feature hostels for athletes and visiting teams, ultimately boosting revenue generation for the state.
Reaffirming confidence in meeting the deadline, the Project Manager highlighted that the revamped stadium will support year-round sports, entertainment, and economic activities.
