Dayo Israel Unveils Bold Vision For FMC Abeokuta In Meeting With Health Minister Kunle Salako

In a strategic move to elevate healthcare services at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Abeokuta, Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), met with Dr. Iziaq Kunle Salako, the Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare.

During the meeting, Israel presented his letter of appointment and shared his vision for FMC Abeokuta, which is located in Ogun State, the Minister’s home state.

He outlined his commitment to supporting the management in delivering high-quality clinical and healthcare services, ensuring the hospital competes with leading private and international institutions.

“Our center has achieved significant milestones, including successful open-heart surgeries and numerous medical breakthroughs. My goal is to transform FMC Abeokuta into a world-class institution that can rival private and foreign hospitals in care delivery,” Israel Dayo Israel stated.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for Israel to engage with the Permanent Secretary of Health and the Chairman of the House Committee on Health Services.

Discussions centered on strategies to enhance healthcare delivery, improve infrastructure, and strengthen medical personnel capacity at FMC Abeokuta.

Dr. Salako, a key figure in Nigeria’s healthcare sector, has been actively involved in initiatives to improve medical services, particularly in Ogun State. Recently, he led a healthcare outreach program providing free medical checkups, medications, and counseling to over 1,000 residents, reinforcing his commitment to quality healthcare.

Israel’s engagement with the Minister and other top officials signals a collaborative effort to reposition FMC Abeokuta as a premier healthcare institution, setting new benchmarks in Nigeria’s public health sector.
