Defending champions of the Nigeria Women Football League NWFL, Edo Queens Football Club of Benin will this evening file out against Remo Stars Ladies of Ikenne in match day 3 of the ongoing Nigeria Women Football League premiership.

The Ancient City based ladies who have started the new season on a good note, will be looking forward for another sweet home victory as they welcome the young ladies from Ogun State on Wednesday January 29th 2025 to a titanic battle at the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium Benin City the Edo State capital.
The match, which will be played under flood lights will kickoff by 6pm local time. This is the second home game for the reigning NWFL champions since the campaign for the 2024/25 NWFL new season started three weeks ago.
Edo Queens have been in top form, having thrashed Abia Angels FC 5-0 at home, and Heartland Queens 2-1 in a away, they are primed for outright
victory over the visitors in today’s cracker.

Edo Queens have six points from two matches, The Unstoppable Queens from Benin City are totally committed to defending their reputation by ensuring that everything is done to seek nothing but total victory in this third clash of the new season.
The two teams have confronted each other in the NWFL premiership and other engagements with Edo Queens having upper hand. This evening’s game will not be an exception as coach Moses Aduku and captain Efe Osakpolor have already set their sights on winning for Edo Queens
According to Coach Moses Aduku, “We are ready, we have no injuries concerns and the girls are in good shape determined to deliver as usual.”
The captain Efe Osakpolor, maintained that Edo Queen remain unstoppable as she emphasized on their readiness for the match.

Meanwhile, the Executive Chairman ,Edo State Sports Commission Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele has called on Edo people, particularly Benin residents to support Edo Queens as they take on Remo Stars Ladies in this evening’s titanic fight.
He said that a large crowd of Supporters and fans can go a long way for Edo Queens in this epic clash as the girls aim to maintain their lead in group A.
