He stressed that the initiative aims to achieve zero-dose immunisation among children by bridging vaccination gaps through community engagement and support.

Dr. Ogunsola highlighted that many mothers underestimate the significance of immunisation, making sensitisation and community involvement essential. He noted that the initiative, which began last year, has now entered its second phase, further strengthening the state’s community health and primary healthcare systems.

“This stakeholders’ meeting is a pivotal step toward reducing child morbidity in Ogun State. With the collective dedication of all involved, we are making significant strides in ensuring a healthier future for our children,” he stated.

Representing the stakeholders, Mrs. Oluwakemi Balogun of Family Health Initiatives, a civil society organisation, applauded the government’s dedication to fostering a safer and healthier environment. She pledged full commitment to supporting efforts that reduce child morbidity and mortality across the state.
