The 2025 Delta Football Association (DFA)/FLEXIP Federation Cup draws have been concluded, and defending champions Warri Wolves FC have secured a quarterfinal bye.
The draw ceremony took place at the Patrick Okpomo Football House in Asaba, setting the stage for an exciting tournament .
In the opening fixture, Young Soccer Academy FC of Issele-Uku will face Morak FC of Warri at the Oleh Township Stadium.
Other notable matches include:
Sapele Lions FC vs Winsome FC. Excellent FC vs Morak Academy Feeders Warri, Mighty Wanderers FC Abraka vs Telectual FC Warri.
Chief Godwin Adode, Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his support of grassroots football development. Adode emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, and integrity throughout the competition, warning that any misconduct would not be tolerated.
He assured it a more improve Delta state FA cup.
The tournament will feature 15 clubs in the male category and two female teams, Delta Queens FC of Asaba and Delta Babes FC of Warri, who have automatically qualified for the final.
Matches will be played at two venues, Oleh and Sapele, with the finals scheduled for Asaba .
