Paul Onuachu Scores First Premier League Goal as Nottingham Forest Survive Southampton Comeback in 3-2 Thriller

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu finally netted his maiden Premier League goal, helping Nottingham Forest clinch a dramatic 3-2 victory over Southampton on Sunday.

Ola Aina was instrumental in the win, providing a vital assist, while Joe Aribo and Taiwo Awoniyi also featured in the intense encounter.

Onuachu, appearing in his 12th Premier League game, was introduced as a substitute in the 58th minute, replacing Adam Armstrong. He struck in the 91st minute to reduce the deficit for Southampton.

Nottingham Forest looked to be in complete control, heading into halftime with a commanding 3-0 lead. However, the Saints launched a spirited second-half fightback with goals from Jan Bednarek and Onuachu, setting up a tense finale.

With 12 minutes of added time, the game saw a nail-biting finish. Ola Aina made a crucial goal-line clearance in the dying moments, ensuring Nottingham Forest held on to secure all three points in a rollercoaster match.
