Umar Sadiq scored his first goal for Valencia, helping Valencia to a 2-1 victory over Ourense in the Copa del Rey and a quarter final berth, Sports247 reports.
The Copa Dey Rey Round of 16 match which was played at the Estadio de Couto on Tuesday saw Sadiq Umar made his first start for Valencia since he joined on loan from Real Sociedad and made it count.
After a goalless first half, Oursense defender Francisco Carmona Garcia scored his own net to give Valencia the lead in the 50th minute.
Sadiq Umar secured the insurance goal in the 78th minute to take the beyond the third tier Spanish division team.
The Super Eagles striker manoeuvre his way in the opposition box, leaving two Qurense defenders in his wake before firing with his right foot into the net.

The goal makes it Sadiq Umar’s first goal this season in all competitions.
