Remo Stars Football Club has officially announced the loan transfer of their left-back, Faisal Sani, to Omani side Al-Rustaq for the remainder of the season.
The club conveyed their best wishes to Sani for a successful tenure in Oman.
Faisal Sani joined Remo Stars in July 2024 from Kano Pillars, marking the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
His arrival was anticipated to bolster the team’s defensive lineup, given his versatility in playing both as a left-back and center-back. Sani’s experience includes stints with Katsina United and Kwara United, and he has been capped at the international level by Nigeria.
Al-Rustaq Club, based in Rustaq, Oman, competes in the Oman Professional League. Founded in 1986, the club achieved promotion to the top tier for the first time in its history in 2016. In the 2023–24 season, Al-Rustaq secured a 6th place finish out of 14 teams.
This loan move presents an opportunity for Sani to gain international experience and contribute to Al-Rustaq’s ambitions in the Omani league.
Remo Stars, meanwhile, will look to adjust their defensive strategies in his absence as they continue their campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
