The Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC) began the new year on a spiritual note with a Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
The event, led by the Director-General, was organized to commit the year to God and inspire unity among management and staff.

In his remarks, the Director-General highlighted the importance of starting the year with gratitude and prayers. “This session is a reminder that with faith, unity, and hard work, we can achieve great things for the Commission and for Lagos State,” he said.
The prayer session officially marked the resumption of activities for the Commission after the Christmas and New Year break. Staff members offered prayers for the Commission’s success, staff welfare, and the advancement of sports development in Lagos State.
During the event, the Director-General urged the team to remain committed to their mission in the year ahead. “2025 holds numerous opportunities for us to achieve significant milestones. Let us work together with renewed energy and purpose,” he stated.
The atmosphere was charged with gratitude as attendees sang songs of praise and thanksgiving for the achievements of the previous year and sought divine guidance for the year ahead.
A staff member, who participated in the session, described the gathering as inspiring. “It’s a wonderful way to start the year. It sets a positive tone for the work we have ahead and shows our commitment to unity and progress,” the staff member said.
