The embattled Yobe Desert Stars, Technical Adviser, Ngozi Elechi is presently not having a jolly good ride in round leader game as the management have given him a sack threat, sports247.ng informs.
Poor string of results recorded since the commencement of Nigeria Professional Football Leagues this season appear not to be in good book with the management of the club and now decided to hand down a Three-match ultimatum to the former Go Round FC Coach.
The General manager of the Club, Dr Habu Abdurahaman Ago had emphasized it at a press briefing sometime in February that if the Technical crew fails to turn around the fortunes of the Club, the Coach would bear the brunt.
According to the statement ,”he technical crew members have three match untimatum to prove themselves, if not we will fire them. So it’s a task before them to utilize the three matches to defend their jobs”
Abdulrahman added thst no single player in Yobe Stars will complain of outstanding salary or bonus. their salaries and match bonuses are flowing unlike in some Clubs where they have two to three months outstanding salaries, so they have to use any magic they could to save their jobs because that is the Nature of the job. We hire and fire”, he said.
Unfortunately, Yobe Stars are yet to win even one out of the three matches after suffering a slim 0-1 Loss at Nasarawa United and were beaten 2-1 on Sunday by Kada City in Kaduna.
One of the players who spoke to Daily Trust on condition of anonymity blamed the coach for his present ordeal.
He said the coach has refused to make use of some of the experienced and Quality Players in the team.
