Minister of youth and sports development, Barrister Solomon Dalung is holding his head very high, as he says Nigeria has been able to achieve great results of recent in the sector because of the presence of many credible hands in charge of various units.
Dalung said in an exclusive interview with sports247.ng that the presence of erudite and seasoned administrators in Nigerian sports has brought about the incidence of several medals for the country in recent months.
He declared: “I am happy with how things are going for us of recent. In fact, my hands are almost tired of receiving trophies and medals.
“We have been getting laurels almost on a weekly bases due to the type and quality of people now in charge of running Nigerian sports.
“I can proudly tell you this is as a result of the deliberate efforts of this administration to ensure people with integrity are the ones in charge of the various sports federations in the country.
“Gone are the days when people who know nothing about the sports are in charge.”
