New African Footballer Of The Year, Ademola Lookman’s father has given a number of tips that can help young Nigerian players to succeed in football.
Sports247.ng reports that, while using his son’s emergence as Africa’s best player as a point of reference, Lookman’s dad pointed out that determination, commitment, focus and humility are factors that yield success in football.

The bespectacled dad was beaming with a broad smile, as he admitted that his son has made him proud, then thanked everyone who supported him towards winning the best African player award.
Ademola Lookman’s dad reiterated, “I am proud of him, because he’s a committed player and he’s humble.
“He doesn’t like too much publicity, because he wants to focus on his football.
“That is what has taken him to this level. I am very proud of him as his father.”
The excited dad also gave credit to support the lad gained from his fans and well wishers, in the form of words of encouragement and their prayers that God answered.
He added, “I just want to thank everybody for their prayers, for their support and favourable comments.
“I thank them all, and I want to thank Almighty God as well.”
The proud father then used the opportunity to send words of advice to up and coming players who want to achieve great things like his son.
“I want to tell the younger ones coming up that they should please focus on their dreams, and they will get there,” he calmly assured.
