Four Nigeria National League, NNL league matches have been put on hold in Lagos due to non availability of stadium, Sports247 reports.
The information was contained in a circular released by NNL on Saturday, 14th of December 2024.
The letter which was signed by the NNL Chief Operating Officer, Dr Ayo AbdulRahman cited by our correspondent, cited the non availability of Mobolaji Johnson Arena due to State functions as the reason for the postponement of the four Matchday three matches due for next week in Lagos.
” Given the non availability of Mobolaji Johnson Arena Lagos, due to State function, the under listed Matchday matches have been put on hold
Inter Lagos Vs Crown FC
Madiba Vs ABS FC
1472 FC Vs Smart City FC
First Bank FC Vs Sporting Lagos FC”, the statement reads.
According to the official statement, a new date will be communicated.
The Mobolaji Johnson Arena Onikan Lagos is the only stadium in Lagos State available for top flight football action.
Alternate venues are currently undergoing renovation works as Agege Stadium is currently abandoned after three years of renovation works, while the upgrading of the main bowl at Teslim Balogun Stadium is nowhere near completion.
