Wema Bank’s number one female competitor in table tennis events, Bukola Olorunmaye is celebrating once again, after winning three gold medals for the third year running.
Sports247.ng was on hand to witness live the astonishing scenario on Saturday, as Olorunmaye won gold in singles, doubles and mixed doubles of the ping-pong contest.
While the world of athletics would recall the double-double Olympic Games’ men’s 100m gold medals of Usain Bolt at Beijing 2008 and London 2012,
Olorunmaye’s triple-triple in table tennis is the feat to hype at the 2024 Bankers Games in Lagos.
She completely stole the show among the staff of various banks who gathered to compete in multiple sporting events.
Bukola Olorunmaye was filled with glee afterwards, even as she gave God all credit for making it possible and thanked Him for giving her a lot to be proud of.
“By the grace of God, I’ve won three gold medals at this year’s Bankers Games.
“The three gold medals have come from table tennis events … singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
“This means so much to me. It means a lot to me, and I’m proud of what I’ve done.
“I’m so proud of this, and I’m very happy. I’ve won this back-to-back and back-to-back.
“This is my third time of winning three gold medals, and I thank God for making it possible,” Olorunmaye disclosed excitedly.
