A youngster with Ikorodu City FC of Lagos, Onyegbulam Chibuike Prestige has opined that he and other rising stars are enjoying multiple benefits from featuring in the ongoing Lagos Supremacy Cup 2024
He told sports247 that the competition, which is being staged in a gala format at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos Island, is very beneficial to young players.

While conceding that he was worn out by the stress of playing two matches for his club under 24 hours, Onyegbulam affirmed that it was a worthwhile effort that will further boost his progression in the round leather game.
“I really thank God, because it’s not easy,” Onyegbulam confessed after his side drew 2-2 with Broad City FC.
“I played a match just a day before this game. So, I really thank God for the strength, the energy, and everything,” Onyegbulam stated.
He went on to explain that he is grateful not only for the strength that God gave him to play the match but also due to the fact that he is able to feature in what he believes is a very useful competition.
“I have to be thankful for this opportunity, because every game counts,” the articulate lad added.
“So, no matter what it is, you have to play every game and do your best,” Onyegbulam reasoned further.
He concluded by reeling out various advantages youngsters like him will gain from participating in the highly prestigious Lagos Supremacy Cup.
“This competition is cool, and it is helping young players to improve, stay focused, and not relent.
“I wish we could play this competition every month. It would help grassroots football players to stay focused, to be consistent every day and be persistent in their aspirations,” Onyegbulam posited.
