The International Boxing Federation has ordered Martin Bakole to box Efe Ajagba for the right to become the mandatory challenger for their heavyweight title
Top Rank has informed the IBF that Ajagba is available for the fight.

Efe Ajagba is still one fight away from becoming the mandatory challenger for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight world championship that Daniel Dubois holds.
Efe Ajagba replaced Agit Kabayel who is based in Germany in the eliminator who withdrew from the eliminator bout against Bakole.
The IBF have now ordered Ajagba, who at No 7 is their next highest available contender, to box Bakole, their No 4.
Bakole has looked imperious when stopping Jared Anderson and Carlos Takam in his last two fights.
The winner of the fight will now be gunning for a shot at the IBF championship, which Britain’s Dubois defended with his stunning knockout victory over Anthony Joshua at Wembley Stadium in September.
Dubois due to make a voluntary defence of his IBF title in February, with Joseph Parker tipped as the potential opponent for the British world champion’s next fight.
The IBF have previously stated that Dubois will be notified on approximately April 22 of his mandatory for June.
They state the champion “shall be obligated to mandatorily defend his championship within intervals of no more than nine months against the leading available contender in the heavyweight division as designated by the championships chairman”.
Martin Bankole is a Congolese professional boxer. He is the younger brother of former cruiserweight boxing world champion, Ilunga Makabu
Bakole defeated Jared Anderson at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 3, 2024 via TKO in the fifth round to claim the WBO International and the vacant WBO-NABO heavyweight titles in his victory.
He has won 21 of his 22 fights with only one career loss.
Efe Ajagba is famous for the fastest victory in boxing history in a match against Curtis Harper, winning in one second via disqualification after Harper walked out of the ring in protest over a pay dispute.
He is a heavy puncher known for knock out attributes has won 20 of his fights and recorded a career loss.
