Oyo FA Suspends Peculiar Ultimate Concern Limited Staff For Misconduct During 3SC Match

The Oyo State Football Association, under the leadership of Alakinyele of Akinyele, HRM Oba James Odeniran, has announced the suspension of Olalekan Ojo, known as “Ijesha,” from attending 3SC matches.

This decision was made public by the Secretary of the Association, Mr. Kehinde Ojelowo, following the Nigeria Premier Football League’s Match Day 13 encounter between Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) and Bayelsa United, held on Sunday at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.

The suspension came in response to Ojo’s alleged unsporting behavior after the match, which was seen as an act that could tarnish the reputation of the sport in Oyo State.

The Oyo FA has a strict stance on maintaining the integrity and decorum of football, and any actions deemed detrimental to the game are met with firm consequences.

The notification of the suspension was also sent to key authorities in the state, including the Commissioner of Police, the Honourable Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, and the Oyo State Sports Council. This ensures both the enforcement of the decision and adherence to security measures.

The official statement reads: “Consequent upon your unsporting behavior exhibited immediately after the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League, Match Day 13… you have been suspended indefinitely from watching any 3SC match or entering all stadia in the state.”

Anthony Okachi’s goal in the 15th minute secured a 1-0 victory for the Oluyole Warriors, granting them a crucial win against Bayelsa United. Despite the success on the pitch, the focus has shifted to ensuring that the conduct of spectators aligns with the standards set by the Oyo FA.

“Failure to comply with this suspension order will result in arrest by law enforcement agents,” the notification warned.
