Atalanta FC have alerted PSG and interested clubs over the availability of Ademola Lookman for a move away from the club as the club have announced an asking price for the striker, Sports247 reports
Ademola Lookman has been phenomenal for Atalanta since he made a 9 million euros switch from RB Leipzig to the Bergamo club and PSG were really interested in his services in last summer but Atalanta reluctance to release their talisman stalled the move to the french capital.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Atalanta are now open to releasing to PSG or any other suitors after placing a valuation of €50m on the Nigerian international.
The Super Eagles started the season like a house on fire, he has eight goals and five assists in 14 appearances across all competitions with Atalanta while he has two goals and one assist for the Super Eagles since summer and helped the Super Eagles to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
A follow up to his 2023/2024 great run where he scored three goals at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to help the Super Eagles reach the final of the competition and his Hat trick against Bayern Leverkusen in the UEFA Europa League final underlined his great run of form last season.
The 27 year old striker still has a contract that will run till June 2026 with Atalanta with an option to extend it, but the Serie A side might just consider an offer for him in the 2025 winter or summer transfer window from any club willing to their asking price.
Ademola Lookman is the favourite to be named the 2024 Africa footballer of the year award at the CAF awards in December after he finished 14th at the 2024 Ballon d’Or.
