Rangers International of Enugu captain, Okey Odita has stated that The Flying Antelopes are destined to be winners of this year’s Federation Cup, and believes they will beat Kano Pillars in the final on October 24.
Speaking to sports247.ng against the backdrop of his side’s come-from-behind 4-2 spanking of Nasarawa United of Lafia in Wednesday’s semi-final, Odita said it was a reflection of his side’s destiny to be champions.
After completing a 2-0 come back to edge Nasarawa United, Odita said the feat was made possible by God.
Odita stated: “I am happy that we were able to beat Nasarawa United in the semi-finals.
“It was not easy, as they even scored two goals first before us, but God helped us to win.
“We also capitalised on Nasarawa United’s collapse in the second half of the game, but it was God who worked for us.
“After that victory on Wednesday in Kano, I am sure Rangers are destined to win this competition again, after 30 years when they last won it.”
