Gateway United FC has spread out for budding talents in the main zones of the state ahead of the new NNL season, Sports247 reports
In a release by the club media on Thursday, it was confirmed that the club will embark on trials for fresh unattached players to bolster the squad of the new Nigeria National League season.
” In a strategic move to foster youth development and empower football talent across Ogun State, Gateway United FC is set to extend its preseason activities to every zone of the state through a series of friendly games with selected players from open trials,* the statement reads.
Beginning Monday, November 11, 2024, aspiring football players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in various regions in Ijebu, Remo, Yewa and Egba zones of the state.
The Ijebu zone trials will be held at the Dipo Dina Stadium, with players expected to arrive on or before 9:00 AM.
The Remo trial will take place at the Gateway International Stadium by 3:00 PM the same day while the Yewa Zone is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12, with activities in at Gateway Stadium, Ilaro at 10 am.
Finally the Egba zone trials will come up on November 13 at the Asero Stadium in Abeokuta by 9 am.
According to the club release: ‘ This initiative reflects the commitment of the current administration to identifying and nurturing sporting talent, guiding them toward achieving professional success.”
” Selected players from these trials will form the new Team B of Gateway United FC, representing a pool of emerging talent for future engagements and competition”, the official club statement read.
