Transfer Ban: Lobi Stars, Plateau United Settle Indebtedness Ahead NPFL Week 10 Deadline

Lobi Stars and Plateau United have fully complied with the NFF Players Status/Arbitration committee (PSAC) decisions and ruling by paying up their overdues to concerned player and club Sports247 can exclusively report.

We can confirm that Lobi Stars has made a total sum of 1.5 million due to the player Christiano Nwokede as ruled by the PSAC.

The payment was made through the Player’s Legal Representative for onward payment to the player.

The implication of this compliance is that Lobi Stars will be allowed to continue the usage of all their newly signed players in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL

Similarly, Plateau United have paid FC Yarmalight in the disputed case concerning a player Uche Onwuasonaya, which the PSAC ruled in favour of the FC Yermalight.

FC Yarmalight, Gombe confirmed they have received the full amounts due to them from Plateau United FC, for the two years loan of Uche Onwuasonaya in compliance to the ruling PSAC to beat Matchday day 10 implementation of the ban on usage of newly transfered players.

This information was contained in separate letters written by Yarmalight FC, Gombe to the Secretary of the NFF PSAC, and that of the legal representative of Christiano Nwokede, both cited by correspondent, the Claimants heap encomiums on the Otunba Dele Ajayi led body, also encouraging aggrieved players, coaches or clubs whose contracts are breached to seek redress in the right way.

This brought to three clubs who have complied fully with the decisions of the NFF Players’ Status and Arbitration Committee as Kano Pillars were the first to defray their overdues.

With less than four days to the deadline, eight clubs are yet to comply with PSAC ruling as Kwara United, Abia Warriors, Enyimba FC, Elkanemi Warriors, Wikki Tourists, Bayelsa United, Akwa United and Katsina United are yet to comply.
