WAFU B: Flying Eagles Fly Past Seamoriow, Intensify Preparations As 30 Players Struggle For 20 Shirts

The Nigeria U20 Men National Team, the Flying Eagles defeated Seamoriow FC 4-1 on Wednesday as they intensify preparations ahead of the upcoming 2024 WAFU B Tourney, Sports247 reports.

This is the team’s first test game since they moved to Ikenne, as the coach Zubair Aliyu led technical crew are perfecting their strategies ahead of the 2024 WAFU B Tourney.

Flying Eagles point man, Kparobo bagged a brace while Ayooma and Kenneth Igbokwe both converted from the penalty spot to put the local football club to sword.

According to the Media officer of the team , Sharrif Abdullahi, the team finished without any form of injuries to any of the players.

” Thirty players are in camp but they will trim to twenty players for the WAFU B Tourney . All the boys are in good form, no injuries or worries in the team, all the players are fighting hard to secure their place in the final squad”.

Abdullah spoke on the possibility of another friendly with Remo Stars FC before jetting out of the country for Lome, Togo by next week.

” The team is looking forward to more friendlies and might play against Remo Stars FC before leaving for Lome Togo anytime from next week” Sharrif Abdullahi told Sports 247.

Nigeria is drawn alongside Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso in Group B at the WAFU B U-20 tournament which is due to begin later in the month.

The top two teams in the group will qualify into the semi finals where the finalists will grab the tickets for the 2025 CAF U20 AFCON, where the Semi Finalists will qualify for the 2025 FIFA U20 World Cup.
