Rangers International’s head coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, maintained a positive outlook following his team’s narrow 2-1 defeat to Remo Stars.
Despite the loss, Ilechukwu emphasized the progress his team has made since their exit from continental competition.

“It was a good game. I think we have started coming up. I am happy with the outcome of the game,” he stated optimistically.
The match saw Remo Stars regain the top position in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), with Rangers giving a strong fight but falling short due to key plays from Remo’s Michael Tochukwu and Alex Oyowah.
Ilechukwu lauded his players’ attitude during the match, emphasizing their growth and resilience. “I love the way my players approached the game today despite the result,” he said, confident that Rangers are on the right track.
He highlighted the two matches played since their continental exit, noting that these games reflect promise for the team’s ambitions this season.
