Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje, has praised the Sponsor and organizers of the Ofugara Peace and Unity Cup in Warri, Delta State, for promoting unity and community development.

Sodje, who won the top scorer award in the 2023 edition with 7 goals, expressed admiration for the sponsor and organizers’ dedication to sustaining the tournament despite Nigeria’s current challenges.
“As a board member of the Delta State Football Association, I’m passionate about the tournament’s mission to foster peace and reconnect old friends,” Sodje said.
“The winning prize isn’t the focus; it’s about unity and community bonding.”
The Leeds and Charlton Athletic veteran helped Uvwie Ex-Professionals win the maiden edition, defeating Uvwie All-Stars 2-1.
