The 24-year-old centre-back recently linked up with his new teammates after a brief delay caused by visa issues. Tanimu, who previously played for Bendel Insurance in Nigeria, has signed a three-year contract with Crawley Town.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Tanimu expressed his ambition to contribute to the team’s success. “I am here to give my best, to do more,” he said. “Promotion to the Championship will be the main target.”
Tanimu’s move marks a significant step in his career, as he looks to establish himself in English football and help Crawley Town push for a higher division. The defender brings experience from both Nigerian and Tanzanian leagues and is eager to make an impact in League One.
Crawley Town currently sit mid-table in League One, and Tanimu’s addition is expected to bolster their defense as they aim for a strong finish to the season. The team’s ultimate goal is securing promotion to the Championship.
