Powered by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund, UNICEF and initiated by the Oyo State Primary Healthcare Board, the glamour, excitement and ambience of the game pervaded the three senatorial districts of the state.

The State FA led by its Chairman, Alakinyele of Akinyele, HRM Oba James Odeniran, a proponent of fair officiating and fair play led the organizing Committee told the newsmen shortly after presenting the trophy to the Ogbomoso football outfit that his restructuring and firm adherence to the rule of the game is paying off.

The highly revered monarch noted that instilling sanity and sanctity in the game has encouraged foreign organizations to invest in football development in Oyo state. In his words:

“Having Foreign organizations like UNICEF is a testament to the good things we are doing in Oyo state. They read laudable initiatives about us on social media and they have seen it happening partnering with us.

This is the effect of discipline. I want to reiterate that whoever that inadvertently engages on biased officiating or collecting under cover in Oyo state will not smell it good.

If we stakeholders put our house in order, visitors will accord us the needed respect and pay for our value without rhetoric. Oba Odeniran submitted

“I think organizing this kind of competition is a testament to the growing interest of Multinationals and government parastatal to invest in football in Oyo state. Bad officiating is a capital NO as no culprit will go unpublished”
