The 2024 National Youth Game going on in Asaba has been rated high in terms of performance of athletes compared to the 2023 edition, Sports 247 reports.
In an exclusive chat with Sports 247 earlier on Monday, the team secretary of Team Kebbi Fives to the 2024 edition, Isah Sanni told our correspondent in Asaba how the Athletes performance has put up a higher performance output in this year’s edition compared to the 2023 edition of the youth games.
“We were here last year and I can tell you that this year’s athletes’ performance is higher than last year’s performance” Issah Sanni affirmed.
Team Kebbi has won three medals so far, all bronze medals, compared to the total of five medals won last year by the team, and Sanni said it’s an indicator that they need to go back home and review their performance and come better next year to win more medals than they did this year.
The National Youth Games is a yearly multisports event for the youths in the country who are younger than 15 years old.
It is good to expose the youth and give them a platform to express their talents and take over from the older class shortly.
