Athletes Applaud Governor Oborevwori During Inspection Of Stephen Keshi Stadium Ahead of National Youth Games Opening

Athletes from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, expressed their appreciation for Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, when he visited the Stephen Keshi Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, Sports247 reports.

The governor’s visit was part of his on-the-spot assessment of the venue’s final preparations for the opening ceremony of the 8th National Youth Games, scheduled for Thursday.

Governor Oborevwori’s presence at the stadium was met with applause from athletes who had gathered for the much-anticipated event. The Stephen Keshi Stadium, now sporting a fresh new look, is set to welcome over 5,000 athletes competing in various sports across the country.

Delta State officials, including the chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, have emphasized that all necessary logistics have been put in place to ensure a smooth and memorable event.
