David Okereke Joins Gaziantep FK On Season-Long Loan From Cremonese

Nigerian striker David Okereke has completed a season-long loan move to Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantep FK from Italian club Cremonese.

As part of the deal, Gaziantep has the option to sign the 27-year-old on a permanent basis next summer.

Okereke has spent the bulk of his career in Italy, having featured for clubs like Torino, where he played during the second half of last season.

He is now the second Nigerian player to join Gaziantep FK, further strengthening the club’s attacking options.

The forward brings valuable experience to the Turkish outfit, having previously played in the UEFA Champions League with Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge.

Throughout his career, Okereke has demonstrated his attacking prowess, scoring 57 goals and registering 26 assists in 268 appearances across various competitions.

Okereke will be looking to make an impact in the Super Lig as Gaziantep aims to improve their standing in the league this season.

The Nigerian striker’s versatility and experience could prove crucial as the club embarks on their 2024 campaign.

With the option for a permanent transfer in place, Okereke’s future could be tied to Turkey, depending on his performances this season.
