ANFASSC Optimistic Of Super Eagles Victory Against Benin Republic In Uyo

As the Super Eagles prepare to face Benin Republic in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, the Authentic Nigerian Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club (ANFASSC) has expressed confidence in the team’s ability to secure a vital victory.

Speaking to journalists in Uyo, the National President of ANFASSC, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, acknowledged the team’s recent struggles but emphasized that the players and the Nigeria Football Federation have learned from past mistakes and are ready to make amends.

“We know the Super Eagles have not been doing well of late, but we believe that lessons have been learnt and corrections have been made,” Prince Ogunjimi said. “The players and the NFF are aware of what is at stake in this AFCON qualifier, and we are optimistic that they will rise to the occasion.”

Prince Ogunjimi urged Nigerian fans to fill the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, saying their support will be crucial in driving the team to victory.

“The Super Eagles need our support now more than ever,” he said. “We urge all Nigerian fans to come out in large numbers and cheer the team to victory. We are confident that with our support, they will make us proud and take a significant step towards qualifying for the AFCON.”

The match against Benin Republic is a critical one for the Super Eagles, and ANFASSC is confident that they will emerge victorious and get their AFCON qualifying campaign back on track.
