In an exclusive interview with Sports247.ng, Currie, the founder of KIRAA Football and KIRAA Football Academy, and the chairman and CEO of KIRAA TV and KIRAA Farm, shared his insights and enthusiasm.

KIRAA’s presence in Uyo underscores his strong belief in the potential of Nigerian football. “I need to be here because I believe in the future of Nigerian football,” Franklin Oluwasegun expressed.

“I can see that the glorious days of Nigerian football are gradually coming back. This current Super Eagles team has the capacity to achieve greatness. We all need to believe in them. They nearly brought the Nations Cup home this year, but unfortunately, circumstances in the final were against them.”

His commitment to the sport is evident through his various ventures. As the founder of KIRAA Football Academy, which trains young talents in U-13, U-15, and U-17 categories, Currie is dedicated to building a strong foundation for the next generation of footballers. The academy’s goal is to cultivate players who can elevate Nigerian football on the global stage.
