Two Time Nigeria’s Long Jump Champion Makes A Boxing Debut

Multi Talented, Nigeria’s Mike Edwards has made his Boxing debut on Saturday, Sports247 reports.

The former BBNaija housemates defeated Jake Cornish in the Misfits Boxing Cruiserweight division via a Unanimous decision at the Dublin Arena in Ireland to kick start his Boxing career on a winning note.

The two time Nigerian champions in Long Jump got plaudits for his performance as Misfits Boxing acknowledged his impressive performance in the fight.

Misfits Boxing tweeted: “An impressive MFB debut for Mike Edwards as he gets the decision victory.”

Mike Edwards is a multi talented athlete who competed in Track and Field for Britain before he switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2018.

He won the Nigerian national championships in 2021 and 2022, and also represented the country reached the finals of the African Athletics Championships and in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
