French Ligue 1 side Lille has announced the signing of Nigerian teenage sensation Adeshina Ayodele from Beyond Limits Academy on a five-year contract.
The 18-year-old striker, who has impressed with his performances in Nigeria, will initially join Lille’s second team before making his mark on the senior squad.

Ayodele, who was pivotal in Beyond Limits Academy’s successful 2023/24 Nigeria National League campaign, expressed his excitement about the move.
“I am very happy to join LOSC and to be part of the Lille family. For me, LOSC is one of the best clubs in France, so I am delighted to be here,” he stated on Lille’s official website.
The young forward helped Beyond Limits gain promotion to the Nigerian Premier Football League, scoring a crucial goal in the Super 8 final against Nassarawa United.
Additionally, Adeshina Ayodele played a significant role in the team’s historic victory at the Viareggio Cup in Italy, where he netted five goals and provided an assist.
Lille beat out competition from Belgian side Anderlecht and an unnamed Dutch club to secure Ayodele’s services. His signing continues Lille’s tradition of developing Nigerian talent, following in the footsteps of players like Victor Osimhen, Vincent Enyeama, and Osaze Odemwingie.
