“We are in high spirits and ready to give our best,” said coach Peter Dedevbo, reflecting the team’s optimism as they prepare to face their opening challenge.

The Korean squad, having previously secured third place in this 22-year-old tournament, has vowed to pose a formidable challenge to the Falconets. Nigeria, a stalwart in the competition, remains one of only four nations to have participated in every edition since its inception as an U19 event in Canada in 2002.

Following their clash with Korea Republic, the Falconets will face further tests in the group phase. They will take on three-time champions Germany in Bogota on September 4th, before concluding their group stage with a match against Venezuela in Cali on September 7th.

With a blend of seasoned talent and fresh energy, the Falconets are eager to advance beyond the group stages and build on their history of strong performances.

The stage is set for an exciting FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024 as Nigeria’s U20 girls aim to add another successful chapter to their impressive legacy in women’s football.
