Bayelsa United Signs Daniel Bameyi Ahead of 2024/2025 NPFL Season

Bayelsa United has secured the signing of Flying Eagles captain Daniel Bameyi as they gear up for the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Bameyi, who gained prominence after leading Nigeria’s U20 team to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina under coach Ladan Bosso, joins Bayelsa United from Yum Yum FC, where he played in the power division last season.

The “Prosperity Boys” officially announced Bameyi’s arrival on Friday evening, signaling their intent to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.

Bameyi, known for his leadership qualities and defensive prowess, is expected to be a key addition to the team as they look to improve on their previous season’s performance.

Bayelsa United narrowly avoided relegation last season, and the club is determined to have a stronger showing in the upcoming NPFL season.

The signing of Bameyi is seen as a significant move to bolster their defense and bring experience to the squad.

Fans and management alike are hopeful that his presence will help Bayelsa United achieve a more successful season and secure a better position in the league standings.
