Tobi Oluwayemi, the promising young goalkeeper of Celtic FC, is on the verge of securing a loan move to Scottish Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.
This deal is set to offer the 21-year-old a crucial opportunity for regular first-team action, a prospect that has become increasingly scarce at Celtic Park following the club’s recent signings.

Oluwayemi, who developed his skills at the Tottenham Hotspur academy, is well-acquainted with the demands of top-tier football. His older brother, Joshua Oluwayemi, once an invitee to the Super Eagles, also pursued a career between the posts, making goalkeeping a family affair.
Their father, Abiodun Ogunyemi, was also a goalkeeper for Ogun State University, further solidifying the family’s deep-rooted connection to the sport.
Despite his evident potential, Oluwayemi has found himself further down the pecking order at Celtic this season.
The arrival of Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo during the summer transfer window has added significant competition, with even Scott Bain ahead of him in the queue for the goalkeeper spot.
Oluwayemi’s lack of playing time during Celtic’s pre-season tour in the United States, where he was not utilized in matches against DC United, Manchester City, and Chelsea, suggests that manager Brendan Rodgers does not see him as part of his immediate plans.
This upcoming loan to Dunfermline Athletic, however, could be the perfect remedy for Oluwayemi’s career.
