Super Eagles and Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to handle whatever Real Madrid might throw at them in the upcoming UEFA Super Cup final.
The match, set to take place at the Stadion Narodowy in Poland on Wednesday, promises to be a thrilling encounter.
Lookman, who was instrumental in Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League triumph, scoring a hat-trick against Leverkusen, is prepared for the challenge.
Despite facing a formidable Real Madrid side, who recently secured their 15th UEFA Champions League title with a 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley, Lookman believes his team is up to the task.
Real Madrid, who have seen some changes in their squad with the departures of Nacho Fernandez and Joselu and the arrivals of Endrick and Kylian Mbappe, are known for their attacking prowess.
However, Lookman remains unfazed, emphasizing Atalanta’s meticulous preparation for the match.
“Wonderful, these are the games you dream of playing since childhood. We won the Europa League, and now we have the chance to play for another trophy. We can’t wait. We are preparing with obsessive attention and will be ready to face a top team like Real Madrid,” Lookman told Tribal Football. “They are the greatest football team in the world, and this is an exciting opportunity for everyone.”
The Super Cup final kicks off at 8 pm Nigerian time, with both teams eager to add another European trophy to their collection.
