Ojediran’s journey to the top has been swift. After spending six months in Albania, he moved to Debrecen VSC in February 2023. Initially joining on loan, Ojediran’s impressive performances led to a permanent move ahead of the 2023/24 season. During his time in Hungary, he made 26 appearances across all competitions, quickly establishing himself as a key player.
RC Lens announced the signing with excitement, highlighting Ojediran’s strengths: “Strength in the midfield! Effective in recovery and strong in duels, Hamzat Ojediran strengthens the Lens midfield from Debrecen VSC. A revelation of the last Hungarian championship, the Nigerian signed in Artois until 2028.”
Ojediran’s ability to dominate in midfield, particularly in ball recovery and duels, caught the attention of Lens, who see him as a valuable addition to their squad. His move to one of France’s top clubs marks a significant step forward in his career, with the young Nigerian now set to test his skills in one of Europe’s most competitive leagues.
As Ojediran embarks on this new chapter with RC Lens, expectations are high that he will continue his upward trajectory and make a significant impact in Ligue 1.
