The coach was unveiled today at the Imo State Government house by Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma.

No details of the contract was given but he is to take over from Christian Obi as the chief tactician of the club.

Coach Amuneke has been working as a consultant to the club for a while and he coordinated the open screening of the new players which took place last month ahead of the new season.

This development is gradually giving credence to the news from numerous sources that negotiations have reached an advance stage to return Heartland FC to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL via buying of Beyond Limits Football Academy slots.
