She started all twenty of the Club’s league games last term, scoring just one goal. Following the expiration of her contract, she left the club alongside her teammates, Yewande Balogun and Amanda Mbadi (who now plays for RCD Espanyol Femení).
Fenerbahçe SK confirmed Otu put pen to paper, signing a two-year deal on their X page:
“Welcome to Our Family Regina Ibiang
Our Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi Women’s Football Team added Regina Ibiang Otu, who played for AS Saint-Etienne, one of the French league teams, to its squad last season.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who also plays for the Nigeria Women’s National Team, signed a contract binding her to the yellow-dark blue colours for 2 years.
‘Welcome to our club’ to our player; We wish you many successes with our striped jersey.

She was a part of the four alternate players selected by Coach Randy Waldrum for the Paris 2024 Olympics but the Super Falcons failed to grab any points in France, exiting at the group stage.
This move could have implications for her role in the Super Falcons, potentially enhancing her performance as she adapts to a higher level of competition.
It may also inspire other Nigerian players to pursue opportunities abroad, fostering the growth of women’s football in Nigeria.
