Two events were decided at the Paris 2024 Olympics as Men’s and Women’s 20km Walk race Gold medal was won by Ecuador’s Brian Pintado and China’s Yang Jiayu respectively.

This effectively sets the tone for many other historic moments expected at the Paris 2024 Olympics track and field events as Ahletics gets underway on Thursday.
The field and tracks will accommodate more events on Friday which will see about 12 Nigerians participating in 5 events in Paris on Friday.
Temitope Adeshina, Nigeria’s only high jumper at the Olympics will begin her campaign in the event in the Preliminary round in Group B and she will start her Olympic journey by 9:15 am.
This will be followed by all the heats 1,2,3 and 4 in the Women 100 meter event as Tima Godbless and Chukwuma Rosemary will be flying the Nigeria flag starting from 9:35 am.
By 5:15 pm , the duo of Ashley Anumba and Onyekwere Chioma will begin their Olympic campaign in the Women’s Discuss preliminary round starring in Group A and Group B respectively.
The Nigeria mixed relay team will be in action by 6:22 pm Ellah Onojuvwevwo, Esther Ello, Isreal Okon , Omolara Ogunmakinju, Patience Okon George, Sikiru Adeyemi and Sikiru Adeyemi will have another opportunity to impress on the tracks.
And finally by 7:10 pm , Enekwechi Chukwuebuka will have another at the Men’s Shot Put at the Olympics.
It’s been mismatched of results for Team Nigeria at the Paris 2024 Olympics so far but expectations are high on Athletics to bring home medals for Nigeria as the events will be coming up thick and fast starting from this weekend .
